Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of the Asky survey app for Shopify ("Asky", "the Service"). By installing or using Asky you agree to them. Last updated 20 May 2026.
1. The Service
Asky is a Shopify app that lets merchants build and display post-purchase surveys and review the responses. We provide the Service on an "as available" basis and may add, change or remove features over time to improve it.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must have an active Shopify store and the authority to install apps on it. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your store's installation and for keeping your account and any configured webhooks secure.
3. Plans, billing and trials
Asky offers a free plan and paid plans as described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed through Shopify's billing system according to the plan you select. Charges recur until you cancel. Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless cancelled. Uninstalling the app cancels future charges; fees already incurred are non-refundable except where required by law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use Asky only for lawful purposes and in compliance with Shopify's policies and applicable laws, including data-protection and anti-spam laws. You must not use the Service to collect data without a proper legal basis, to harass shoppers, or to interfere with the Service's operation. You are responsible for the content of the surveys you create.
5. Data and privacy
Your and your shoppers' data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. As between you and Asky, you remain responsible for ensuring you have the right to collect feedback from your shoppers and for informing them as required by law.
6. Intellectual property
Asky and its underlying software, design and trademarks are owned by us and our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your subscription is active. You retain ownership of your survey content and your response data.
7. Availability and support
We aim to keep Asky available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, and the Service depends on Shopify and third-party infrastructure. Support is provided by email at support@askysurveys.com.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Asky will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using Asky at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the Service unlawfully. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; data handling on uninstall is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
